Horse Racing

Watch these highly-trained athletes race to the finish during the 2023 Maryland State Fair! We’re proud to provide seven days of racing, August 23-25 and August 30- September 2. Watch the races and wager in the Grandstand seats as the Thoroughbreds round the 5/8 mile track, or relax in the air-conditioned Off-Track Betting (OTB) Facility. 

This event is free to watch! Post times are at 12:40 pm on each race day and continue until all races are completed.

Lumberjack Show

If you want great old-fashioned fun and family entertainment, the Paul Bunyan Lumber Show is where you want to be! The show is filled with action packed competition, and plenty of laughter. The Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show features only quality lumberjack competitions known throughout the world.

Pretty Bird Paradise

Pretty Bird Paradise is a fun and educational interactive all-day attraction. Guests have the opportunity to feed the birds with food sticks which allow the birds to come and land on them and have a tasty snack.
