For the Expo’s 39th year, we ask that you make a donation of $2 or bring two or more cans of nonperishable food. All guests will be entitled to a free gift and full access to a multitude of opportunities for resources, enjoyment and options.

Motorized scooters and wheelchairs are available. Spanish interpreters will be available 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the Latin Opinion booth in Center Hall.

Seniors in Need Program

All proceeds from our exhibitors, sponsors and attendees go to the Seniors in Need Program. The Program provides one-time emergency assistance to Baltimore County seniors who qualify financially. This assistance may include such necessities as groceries, medications or support for utility bills.

Here are a few examples of the positive impact of the Program:

• A 72-year-old woman living alone in a senior apartment received funds from the Seniors In Need program to buy new glasses. Her vision had worsened due to glaucoma and surgery, leaving her current glasses ineffective. With her limited income, purchasing new ones was not an option. Grateful to the Department of Aging for their support, she can now see more clearly, greatly enhancing her quality of life.
• Similarly, a 68-year-old woman in a one-bedroom apartment received assistance for 15 loads of laundry. Due to health issues and limited mobility, she couldn’t access her laundry room with her rollator walker, leading to a substantial backlog. Without family to help, she utilized the Seniors In Need program to hire an agency for the laundry. She now has an aide from the Department of Social Services to assist with cleaning, transforming her home into a more comfortable space.
