2025 Job Fair
The Maryland State Fair will host a Job Fair on (Date yet to be Determined) inside the Exhibition Hall! Join us from (Time yet to be Determined) for a streamlined State Fair hiring process. State Fair departments will be hiring for a variety of jobs to work all 13 days of this year’s Maryland State Fair!
At the Job Fair, applicants can register and meet with a State Fair representative. If your interests, availability, and experience match an open position, a fair department will interview you on the spot.
Here’s What You Need to Know
- Compensation is $15/hr and free admission to the Fair.
- Positions available at the Job Fair include jobs such as ticket takers and sellers, parking attendants, security, merchandise, food attendants, and more!
- The applicant line will begin forming for the Job Fair at (Time yet to be Determined) outside the Admin Building, and anyone in line by (Time yet to be Determined) can participate.
- All applicants applying for security jobs must also have a Security Guard Certification card issued by the Maryland State Police.
- Resumes are not needed but are encouraged. Applicants offered a State Fair position will be asked to complete a background check.
- Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply.
- Applicants should bring either a passport OR a valid form of ID (such as drivers license) and their social security card.
Year-Round Employment
Director of Maintenance
The Maryland State Fair & Agricultural Society, Inc. is seeking a Director of Maintenance to manage the day-to-day coordination, planning, and support of the year-round rental operations and the operations of the annual Maryland State Fair. Seeking a hands-on, experienced individual able to lead a team of employees in facility upkeep and event support. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in maintenance/facility operations and 2+ years in leadership, with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Must be ready to work nights/weekends during peak events. Excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a leader, a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
