Supporting BARCS

BARCS is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization operating Maryland’s largest animal shelter and pet adoption center. We are an open admission shelter, granting refuge to every abandoned, neglected, abused, lost or surrendered animal that comes through our door. A staggering 30 or more animals are surrendered to BARCS every day. No matter what the circumstance, we do not turn away any animal in need of shelter, food, medical care and a loving touch.

Supporting PAWS Rescue

PAWS is ran by a group of volunteers that are dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and puppies. We are open to any breed and as long as we have room, we do not say no. We will try to find a specific breed or age of dog in a shelter as an alternative to someone buying from a breeder. We believe that all Puppies Are Worth Saving.

*A portion of the ticket purchases will be donated back to the rescue each week as well.*

FAQ

No, unfortunately if you choose to adopt a dog on the day of the event you will have to take the dogs off the property.

All participants must be over the age of 16. If you are under 18 you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the event.

Please bring a yoga mat, a cold water bottle to stay hydrated (it will be warm!), and, of course, yourself!

The classes will be an hour, but some of the puppies will hang around after in a confined area and you can adopt a dog while you’re there!

No, you can not bring your pet to the fairgrounds. The only puppies that are allowed in the space are the ones brought by the shelter we are partnering with each week!
